Tobin Schmuck lives and works on the Upper West Side in Manhattan, NYC.
In his paintings and drawings he delves in representational imagery with acute attention to detail and emphasis on light and sensuous form. He continually seeks out the unnoticed, exotic point-of-view with natural abstraction which he extracts from otherwise conventional observations of structural space, sculptural form or nature. He paints and draws out of passion, translating that passion onto the linen or page with the hope the viewer is enticed to feel some of that in their own interpretation of what they see.
